Deep Creek Lake is a man-made, freshwater lake with more than 65 miles of shoreline and a maximum depth of 75 feet. Along with the almost innumerable summer activities, Deep Creek Lake is also a popular ice fishing spot during the winter months when it’s frozen! Another area hot spot is Wisp Resort, offering a wide array of year-round activities!
The climate in Garrett County offers skiers plenty of fresh powder to shred through, while the summer months provide the perfect environment for downhill-mountain biking and zip-lining. Maybe the best part of our beautiful community is the proximity to nature. Garrett County has several state parks, one right along the lake.
Garrett County’s annual Autumn Glory Festival, taking place every October, is a long-held favorite tradition, shared by locals and visitors alike. The breathtaking fall foliage provides an incredible backdrop to life here at the lake and around the area. Fall is the perfect time to explore the area and take advantage of the cooler weather before the snow falls.
It’s not enough to tell you about this beautiful place, you’ll just have to come experience it for yourself!
