At Deep Creek Lodging Co. we take great pride in being involved in our community and supporting our neighbors. Each year we collect and donate meals for families in our area during the holidays as well as donate food to our local food pantries throughout the year. We recently made a donation in honor of our homeowners to Jill’s House, a non-profit organization that provides a safe environment for kids with disabilities while providing peace of mind and well deserved rest for their caregivers. Deep Creek Lodging also heads up the Good Deeds Project in our community. Each month we select an employee to perform a good deed within our community. These deeds come in all shapes and sizes and bring smiles to many faces each month. It is our mission to give back to our neighbors and contribute to a healthy, thriving community.

The Good Deeds Project is a company-wide initiative, where each month an employee chooses a Random Act of Kindness to perform within our community. February our Office Administrator, Kerri choose to purchase tablets for the residents of the Goodwill Retirement Community. The tablets are used for residents to read books. The tablets are easier for them to hold and the font size can be enlarged, which makes reading much easier for the residents. We are committed to doing Good Deeds in our community
and helping our neighbors. The Good Deeds Project is a monthly initiative that gets our employees involved and we encourage other local companies to join us in our efforts to do “Good Deeds” for our neighborhoods. Building a stronger better community is a part of our mission!

We coordinate with the Services Network to identify and deliver the gifts and food to our families. The holiday season is especially difficult for some families and our employees enjoy this yearly tradition.

(Pictured) Our property managers getting ready for our annual food drive during the holiday season. Providing bags in our rental homes and collecting leftover items that our renter choose to leave behind provides a lot of food for us to donate to our local food banks. This is an easy way for us to help in our community and make a difference. Food pantries are hit especially hard during the holiday season and we are especially busy, so it makes sense to collect this unwanted food and provide it to the community members that need it.

Deep Creek Lodging supports Bentley The Brave, a local charity drive in coordination with Cindy’s Fund to assist a local boy and his family with cancer treatment expenses. Deep Creek Lodging is happy to assist with other area charities and provide support wherever we can.
