The State of Maryland Offers Any Maryland Resident Three Free Fishing Days this Spring!
June 3rd, June 10th, and July 4th allows anglers the ability to fish without a fishing license or any special stamps. All fishing laws and rules still apply to each waterway, including catch limits. Any people under the age of 16 years old are able to fish without a license making this a wonderful family activity.
With nine state parks, seven lakes, one pond, and many rivers and streams, Garrett County and the Deep Creek Lake watershed is an anglers dream! The Department of Natural Resources offers wonderful resources such as a mobile app and an interactive map with maps, all state park amenities, and the complete hunting, fishing, and boating regulations at your fingertips.
