Winter Storm Argos is Coming!
We hope to see the first snowflakes of the season this weekend! It has been a wonderful and warm autumn season here at Deep Creek Lake, but we are ready for the white stuff to start falling. Typically Wisp Resort aims to open each year around Thanksgiving, but with our unusual weather this year, the opening maybe a little later. The Weather Channel has officially named this storm Argos and it is marching across the United States towards the east coast. Initially it looked like we were going to receive 8-12 inches of snow, but sadly, that forecast has been downgraded. As of right now, they are not putting out any totals forecasted, but are reporting the heaviest snow accumulations will be in the higher elevations, such as Deep Creek Lake.
It appears that we may have a little wintery mix on Saturday, so if you are in the area, please be careful in your travels!
