  • Please wash and put away all dishes.
  • Wipe out and empty the refrigerator and kitchen cabinets of all items you brought to the home.
  • All trash must be bagged and placed in the appropriate community garbage area or in animal-proof trash bins (location listed on the Quick Guide). If you have excess garbage, please refer to the Quick Guide for the Maintenance/Emergency phone number for additional instructions.
  • Please leave furniture and TV/DVD’s arranged as you found them.
  • Make sure all windows and doors are closed and locked. If your home has a hot tub, please make sure the cover is on and locked.
  • Check under all beds, sofas, and in all drawers and closets for your belongings. We cannot assume responsibility for any items left behind in the vacation rental home. If you have left something in the property and we are able to locate it, we will ship it back to you for $25 service fee, plus shipping costs. We must have a credit card in advance to ship the items back.
  • Please do a final walk through to check that doors, windows, and skylights are closed and locked. Please make sure that all lights are off. Pay special attention to outside flood lights.
  • Please refer to the departure checklist located on the refrigerator for departure instructions.
  • Remember your check-out time is posted on your contract. Housekeeping is scheduled to arrive shortly after your departure, so please observe the check-out times.
  • Special COLD WEATHER instructions: Make sure all heat is left at 60 degrees – DO NOT turn the heat off! If there is a hot tub, leave the temperature on medium or 90 degrees and the cover on secured by the strap and locked.
