When hunger hits, head down the road to Fireside Deli and Wine for fantastic sandwiches, pasta, and drinks! Family and friends of all ages are sure to enjoy the bubbling hot tub, and flat screen TVs, making it easy to keep the kids (and kids-at-heart) entertained all day long. As a pet-friendly rental, your pups can join the fun, too! The quiet neighborhood roads are perfect for morning and evening walks with the whole family! Lake access is located along Piney Point Dr. While this home does not come with dock access, dock slips are available to rent on a first come first serve basis through the Sky Valley Community Association for an additional fee of $15/day or $100/week. Please note that docks are only guaranteed from Memorial Day through Labor Day.

We absolutely loved A Frame of Mind for a weekend winter getaway! There was tons of natural light thanks to the large windows and glass doors, the fireplace was very cozy, and the 3 bedrooms were spacious. You feel tucked away in the woods even though there are other houses nearby. Only 20 minutes to Wisp - it was nice to stay in a quiet area and yet still be very close to all that Deep Creek has to offer.

To install curtains on the patio windows. There was a draft because there were no curtains or blinds covering the two large patio doors. The other issue was maintenance did not come to put the screen back up after falling down from the massive wind.

The house was as advertised. Important to note there is no AC, which I missed reviewing initially. Taking trash to a different location was unusual. Overall, very nice house and enjoyed our stay - house was clean and area was quiet!

This is a very nice and comfortable house, and the amenities and pictures are as described on the website. What a great place to stay in deep creek! We were very pleasantly surprised by the provision of dishwasher soap, toilet paper, paper towels, spices, and poop disposal bags. I would absolutely stay here again without question. Directions on how to dispose of trash at the community compactor could be simplified. The unit could say that it’s located opposite 580 sky valley drive in the green building. It is a bit annoying to have to do this. There are properties in other communities which have trash cans on site, but that doesn’t seem to be the case in the sky valley community. The house is nice enough that i wouldn’t count this against it. Also the community has a bunch of unleashed dogs so we could not walk to the lake as I had planned. The marina, which is a 15 min walk or 5 min drive, is okay for dog swimming and playing but honestly going up to the state park is much better. People hang out on their boats on the marina again with unleashed dogs that bark and charge, which meant that we didn’t use the community features as much as we expected.

We had a lovely stay to unwind. The kitchen had most everything we needed. The layout was comfy and cozy. The fire pit was lit up at night which was nice. Only downside was that we tried twice to get firewood from the main office and no one was there and having to gather and dispose our own trash was unusual .

A Frame of Mind was very comfortable! We particularly liked the quiet, wooded setting and lovely deck. We enjoyed the hot tub, cooking on the gas grill and the fire pit. The house was very clean, bathrooms had been updated, and the kitchen was well equipped with dishes and utensils. Loved the many soft throw blankets!!

The positives are many. Two bedrooms on the ground floor and an attic room for our teenager affords privacy for all. Both the jacuzzi (a delight) and television were easy to operate. Nice marshmallow-roasting pit. Very pretty view from the living room. The property was clean and equipped with everything necessary. The sole issue is garbage disposal. The community in which this home is based must have a trash receptacle somewhere but we couldn’t find it. I called Raelly’s help line. The first staff member, “Dabney,” insisted I would find a trash compactor behind a fence at the community entrance. I drove there twice but saw no trash receptacle. I called back and a second responder, “Ferdy” admitted that “the Sky Drive Community is complicated,” and he didn’t know where the trash receptacle was located either. “Ferdy” checked around, he said, and claimed the trash compactor was next to “the maintenance building.” But he didn’t know where the maintenance building was located and of course, we couldn’t find it. “Ferdy” promised to call us back, but did not. We took our stinky three days of trash with us to a local restaurant, where I cut my hand trying to smush it into their outdoor receptacle. I kept thinking “would it have killed these people to draw a map identifying the site at which garbage is collected?”

The trash compactor is located after the Sky Valley Community entrance. Please bring your trash to the white compactor building across the road from the manager's office. The recycling center is located behind the gate between the manager's office and barn.

Please make sure all trash is properly bagged, sealed and disposed. Do not leave trash unsecured in outdoor spaces.

Girls Weekend

My girlfriends and I rented this beautiful cabin for a girls getaway. This cabin is so cozy, it has everything you can possibly need. Love the hot tub right outside the door, such a nice back area with a cute fire pit. The beds are comfortable, everything is very well kept and clean. I would be coming back for another weekends getaway.

We were so pleased with your stay at A-Frame-of-Mind! It was easy to check in and well-stocked (toiletries, dishwasher detergent pods, etc.) We had a minor problem when we opened the dishwasher, it was flooded and not usable. However someone was out within minutes to fix it for us! We really enjoyed the hot tub and cozy hidden escape!

This well-kept home met our needs nicely. Cozy main room and dining room, wonderful wrap-around deck. Solid water pressure and good heating via the many baseboard controllers. The neighborhood is a semi-private, quiet, secluded community 20 min from the heart of DCL. Deer run freely and are fun to watch. I believe this is a newish rental; the bathrooms and kitchen are in need of modernization but everything WORKED and that’s what really counts. Keurig and regular coffee maker, new toaster, more than enough plates, drink ware, silverware, but lacking a dishwasher. Bedding was comfortable as are the nice leather living room chairs & sofa. Bonus points for the super-soft throw blankets everywhere! Wifi was an issue on check-in but fortunately Railey’s contract IT guy was willing to work after-hours to get us situated. Cable TV didn’t work in the living room but did in the master BR. (Streaming services abound in the main room.) We really enjoyed our stay in this cozy cabin. We were just one couple; this place has 3 BR/2BA so probably sleeps a LOT; IMO it’d be comfortable for up to 5-6 people but that’s personal preference. You could easily sit 8 at the dining table/kitchen area for meals.
